The year of 2017 celebrates the 80th anniversary of the death of Antonio Gramsci. To remember his life and work, the International Gramsci Society, the International Gramsci Society-Brazil, the Fondazione Istituto Gramsci and the Edgard Leuenroth Archive convene the International Colloquium Antonio Gramsci.

• Paper submission instructions •

In addition to conferences, the colloquium will hold a series of sessions to promote the discussion of ongoing or completed researches that have the thought and ideas of Antonio Gramsci as its object or direct reference. The submission is thematic-free and the session groups will be organized by affinity between the approved proposals.

Submissions must be made by e-mail to agramsci2017@gmail.com until April 11, 2017, indicating in the title of the message “Paper Submission” and, in the body of the message, the author’s full name, e-mail, institution, academic degree, and telephone number of the proponent. Each participant can only register once (as an author or co-author).

The paper may present preliminary results of an ongoing research or results of a completed research and should contain between fifteen and twenty thousand characters (counting titles, spaces, notes and bibliography) in Times New Roman font size 12, line spacing 1,5. Proposals that exceed this limit or do not comply with these specifications will not be considered.

The following information should be included in the paper text: name of the event, title of the work, authorship and co-authorship (when applicable), institution and academic degree (mentioning whether a professor, postgraduate or independent researcher).

The paper should clearly define at first its topic and present the main working hypotheses as well as the research method used. It is also advisable to announce the structure of the paper (introduction, development and conclusion) and follow the instructions in our website for technical norms regarding citation, footnotes and bibliographical references. Papers that comply with the indicated parameters and are approved by the Scientific Committee will be published in the electronic Annals of the event.
